I am honored to share my top reads in 2025. These books were instrumental during my writing process of 'Recrudescene', deeply enlightening my perception of the divine concept about life, death, and transformation.
• The Souls Journey after Death (Roh)
by Ibnu Al Qayyim
Reading this book has illuminated my body, mind, and soul. Everything my mom and I had ever pondered about the soul's journey in the otherworld, here I found a mind-blowing explanation, affirming what we had discussed so fa, based on our belief as Muslims. Overall, this book has truly enlightened me!
• Holy Blood, Holy Grail
by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh, and Henry Lincoln
My mom recommended this book to me. I love it and I learned so much from it! Conspiracy theories always carry a certain charm, concealing mysteries that blur the line between fact and fiction. For me, this book is brilliantly thought-provoking. Its historical themes and the mysterious layers surrounding secret societies resonated with the gothic book series we wrote (The Arcanum Revelation). The Gnostic aspect is fascinating as well. Overall, the book gave me a broader perspective on the diversity of beliefs across the world.
• Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam
translated by Edward FitzGerald
The first time I encountered Omar Khayyam's poetry was through Manly P. Hall's book. I love how Omar's words were translated so beautifully by Edward Fitzgerald. The poetic world he described about life, death, and transformation gives me the chills. I am fascinated by his verses on heaven and hell as well. We honored his poetry in our book (Recrudescence), where the character Jean-Pierre de Brach was captivated by Omar's transformational view of life.
When controversial works often trigger diverse reactions, they carry important information that many fear to confront. Truth is a divine gift meant for the seekers, not for those who choose to remain in the shadows of ignorance. To understand our life on earth is the ultimate journey. 🤎🖤
