e-Libraries and e-Bookstores Distribution of the Poetry Book "The Salt Prejudice" Following the Discontinuation of Its Print Copies
The Salt Prejudice was first published on the 4th of January 2016, it was a month or two before my university's graduation. It's been almost ten years now. I have come to a decision to distribute free access for my early works such as The Salt Prejudice and the Alternate stories of Royal Arcanum, which consist of three books. Thus, my dream to get them available to read on e-Libraries and e-Bookstores, for everyone. ❤︎
I'm so happy I've found the right distribution channel by the end of September 2025. I can do the trial run with The Salt Prejudice and see the book reaches readers from many countries.

As I do self-publishing, it is challenging to get access to local libraries or even retailers here in Indonesia. To have the access, we are expected to partner with publisher or distributor that's not suitable to my vision and work ethic, like mostly are money-grabbing or IP's sabotaging for instance. Only a few, and I found like one or two that are genuine teamwork, so lucky to be destined with those who resonate with our artworks.
I remember giving the early copy to our Head of Study Program after my mom suggested it ❤︎. A kindness return to us in a surprising way, I was invited to get featured on our university's annual magazine. Also, I remember before getting featured, the book received its first appreciation on 19 January 2016 as Top 100 Amazon Bestsellers Book in Teen & Young Adult for Short Stories (Rank #92) for about a few days. That's how things unfolding in my earliest journey of publication.
Also, got pirated in three hours of its first publication on Smashwords ahaha. At the time, my emotion was mixed between "I feel honored" and "Wow that sucks". Later I found it was pirated again on web like Torrent and was downloaded more than 4,000 times. What a fantastic number for first-timer, x. While the official route earned around 100+ copies. Pirating books aren't all bad sometimes, although it is discouraged. I see it as a way of those who really wanna read my books for free, but much better than the unethical, immoral, vile act of plagiarism, yea? I have experienced both, so there you go. ^^
I see that a lot of people want to read it, but maybe they don't have the fund to spend it (or freebies lovers). I also thought the book is too rough to be commercialized, it is very short and not too neat like my latest works now. In my learning experience for these past 14 years, of writing and publishing, I like to do trial run on the chances I got, experimenting which fit, which not. And the latest books I work diligently are now the Arcanum Revelation series, which revolves in the world of dark academia, gothic, and historical fiction.
Besides the free access I granted for these early works, so does with their discontinuation of the print edition. I think thoroughly in 2024, and have made them available since then, but only now I announce them all together officially on my blog. These works reflected the trial and challenging era of my early experience in writing and publishing industry. Now, this anthology book of metaphysical poems and short stories listed as FREE on e-Libraries and e-Bookstores. And this is how I continue to implement my gratitude for good things in life. ❤︎
