Writing Progress of Roses Bones (Royal Arcanum's Sequel) ~ Amid the incoming inspiration! 🪶📜🖤

Hello! I wrote this blog post when the lights were off at our neighborhood. Or maybe the whole city, I don't know 😐. I'm unable to write on my laptop since it was shut down due to low battery. It was only on 37% when the electricity was off. I should have charged it earlier, huh! 😕 As you can see from the picture above, I had to write traditionally with a pen and paper. It's been a long time I haven't written with a real pen! The last time I held a pencil to exercise my drawing skill. And of course, we couldn't use Wi-Fi either. So, I used a mobile data at the moment. We weren't prepared, lol.

About the latest progress of Royal Arcanum's sequel, I start writing again in mid May 2024. This book was on hold for 2 years 🥺. I had to deal with a digital publisher during that time. I also had to write the horror trilogy Kembang Sukmo, there are 3 main books in the series. And also Tembung Lakar, a sundanese mystery novel. So many to handle with Haaa. But I'm okay now. Those books are my mom's last will that I must write. The stories hold important value regarding our family that we'd like to share with the world. The first installment already received many reads so far, it's around 18k 💞. I feel so happy that people take the initiative to sit down and enthusiastic about the intriguing royal Javanese stories. 🥰

Get back to where I am now. It's been an on and off situation on my end. I have terrible headache. My mind space sometimes at its low point that it influence my mood. We all know how much the mood is needed to write a book or anything related to the creative field 🫣. And these days I'm not in my best shape to indulge in creativity. But I'm trying to fix that. We have strong commitment to finish what we started. We can't just back down and give up. Especially when this series has to be reimagined from the previous version. There will be so many to look into and study.

So far, so good... This series is the hardest to write compare to any books I've written. Integrity and concentration are the ingredients to start it out. And I must, must! Get up and be sober, lol.

The Arcanum Revelation will have seven books and maybe some spin off. The road is still long, but we are on the way to finish it. And as I begin the writing progress, I come up with the preparation.

I saw this black rose ring online, and I thought it's so cute and remind me with the cover of Roses Bones. I bought it with the idea to delve into the story, it's like matching the energy kinda thing, I guess 😳.

The black rose is an important symbol in the story of Roses Bones. It has its own mystical philosophy. I will share the insight for the next post since this one I'd like to talk about my writing progress.

I also happened to purchase a perfume that I wouldn't initially think will related with the book I'm currently writing. The label stated it's the Lilac scent. I never smell the real flower of Lilac. But I can describe a bit that the scent reminds me of a garden full of flowers and the mix of woody aroma. There is a chapter near the end of the book that mentioned about such a scent. It is when Cathy (the main character) was escorted by Mayhem the Houskeeper to meet her uncle in the manor's library. On the way there, she smelled a strong aroma of gardenia flowers and woods. That perfume reminds me of this chapter. Especially when I combined it with the caramel woodie perfume. It becomes stronger!

Okay, that's how far I've been. I will keep up-to-date later. I'm planning to write blog posts on weekly basis from now on! I want to be diligent! 😊
